Anthology Line-up to be Announced in February!

Submissions had closed on November 30th, 2025.

Broken Keys Publishing & Press has navigated some internal obstacles, shuffling a few insiders due to time restrictions and scheduling issues.


Selected authors and their short stories will be announced by mid-late February!


But for the time being, Broken Keys Publishing & Press is proud to introduce our stellar crew that will be delivering and making this 4th anthology possible!


Guest editor will be Brigitte Pellerin


Author, editor, columnist. Brigitte's work has appeared in the Ottawa Citizen, CBC, National Magazine, the Montreal Gazette, the Toronto Star, C2C, Maclean's, Reader's Digest, the Postmedia newspaper chain, the Sun Media newspaper chain, the Sun News Network, le Québécois Libre and CFRA radio.


Her books include Épître aux tartempions (Varia, 1999), Le National-Syndicalisme (Varia, 2001), Down the Road Never Traveled (Dundurn, 2003), Not Just for Kicks: Dublin, 2016 (2017), Ride-Hailing is a Four-Letter Word: A Year in the Life of an Uber Driver (2020), Le livre Uber (L'Interligne, 2021), and Bruce Fanjoy's Apple Crumble Recipe: How one man defeated a would-be prime minister. She also translated (English-to-French) Stockwell Day: Portrait of the man and the politician (Varia, 2000).


Brigitte earned a law degree (ll.b, 1996) from Université Laval.


She is a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists, the Writers' Union of Canada, the Union des Écrivaines et des Écrivains Québécois and the Association des auteures et auteurs de l'Ontario français.


Brigitte is fortunate to be mother to three of the most amazing human beings on the planet.

Jagjeet Sharma is a freelance Journalist, Poet, and Author. She hosts a weekly radio show in Ottawa along with her team of dedicated volunteers on CKCU 93.1fm. She has six poetry collections to her credit.


Nature's Subtle Seductions (2018), Fragments (2019), Raindrops (2020), Under a Maple Tree (2023), Measure of a Wo/Man (2024), Silent Ripples (2025), COVID-19 Chronicles - Reflections on the 2020 pandemic (winner of the Canadian Ethnic Media Association Award)(2020). This anthology, a limited edition, was launched in December 2020. It was initiated by the Ottawa Ethnic Media Forum (OEMF) with support from the Media Club of Ottawa. COVID-19 Chronicles Part 2- Road to Recovery Anthology (Dec. 2021).


Jagjeet has contributed to several publications, the Ottawa Independent Writers’ Anthology, “Short Stories for a Long Year” (2020), “Ottawa Rising” (2022), Broken Keys Publishing's anthology, Love & Catastrophē Poetrē (2022), the Glebe Report (Ottawa); Apt 613, and The Canadian Literature: A Quarterly of Criticism and Review, #243. 


She is an Ottawa Independent Writers’ (OIW) ex-board member, a member of the North Grenville Writers’ Circle, a founding member of the Ottawa Ethnic Media Forum (OEMF), and a member of the Canadian Ethnic Media Association (CEMA).


Jagjeet Sharma developed a COVID-19 Chronicles anthology trilogy. The development of such a trilogy was recognized and appreciated. She won the 2023 Canadian Ethnic Media Association Award in the Innovation category for Journalistic Excellence.
