Broken Keys Publishing's relationship with Cee Lawrence goes back to the early days of the pandemic. Having originally planned to launch fully into publishing in early 2020, with our first anthology, Thin Places: The Ottawan Anthology, planned to release in early April, unfortunately, Covid-19 had other plans. With government inflicted lockdowns in place, retail stores and bookshops shutdown and nowhere to sell copies, we opted to sit back and wait it out. But, while waiting, to remain relevant, we reached out to local celebrities and voice talents to narrate short stories. And like the hero she is, Cee did not shy away, narrating George Foster's Belt Buckle from The Places.
But Cee Lawrence is no one-show performer!
She's returned for our 3rd anthology - Ghosts and Other Chthonic Macabres - reading Jim Davies' vampire short story, The Drink...
But the highlight for me was her narration of my quasi-true story, Monsters.
What more is there to say about this incredible performer and person?
It is our hopes that we will be planning and doing something together in the near future!
