Muriel Davies retired from teaching at McDowell Elementary in Shawville and now pursues many interests. She enjoys hiking, yoga, reading, playing bridge & scrabble online, gardening & crafting, and of course, seeing her grandchildren Alex and Laura.
Muriel has collaborated with illustrator Tina Michaud on these two children's books.
Grandma's Kittens' Adventures tells the story of Fang, Grandma, and the kittens. It is based on a true story of Grandma moving to live with her family and bringing her big cat Fang.
Fang runs away but returns to father three exuberant kittens. They cause quite a disturbance and run away at the fair. After hiding they come out and go into the arena where they learn to play hockey and save the game!
Young and old will enjoy this rhyming cat story!

Grandma's Kittens' Adventures features the artwork of Tina Michaud.
Tina Michaud is an artist and illustrator based in Quebec. Inspiration for her work is based on people who have influenced her life. She studied art and children's literature at Concordia University in Montreal.
Passionate about children's literature, Tina has illustrated all three “Fang” books.
She works closely with Muriel and their goal is to celebrate Shawville where both have lived and Muriel continues to live.
Tina now lives in Huntingdon, Quebec.
