WHEN UNCERTAINTY RISES, OUR COMMITMENT REMAINS

Dear Authors, Partners, and Clients,

This past week I have been fielding many calls, emails, and concerns about the collapse of the Canada-U.S. trade negotiations.

I want to take a moment to address the recent developments surrounding Canada–U.S. trade negotiations and the proposed 50% reciprocal tariffs on certain products and raw materials beginning September 8^th.

I understand that news like this can create uncertainty, particularly when it may affect the cost of printing, producing, and bringing books to readers. I want to reassure you that, based on our research to date, imported book paper is not included among the products subject to these tariffs. At this time, I do not anticipate a significant impact on the cost of producing books printed at Broken Keys Publishing & Press.

I will continue to closely monitor the situation and any changes that could affect our authors, their books, or our operations. My priority is to keep your publishing plans moving forward with as little disruption as possible.

At times of uncertainty, I believe that having trusted local partners matters more than ever. I am proud to work alongside our authors and remain committed to supporting you and your books every step of the way.
