Julie Beun is a journalist, author, communications consultant and passionate bibliophile. She has lived and worked in Australia, the South Pacific and Canada, writing on everything from women’s issues and music to fashion and crime. As news editor at People magazine, she learned her mantra as a writer: “Look for the ordinary details in extraordinary people, and extraordinary things about ordinary people.” She lives in Carp, Ontario and is ridiculously proud that she’s read all 21 Patrick O’Brian novels four times over.

She is the co-author of the best selling book Billion Dollar Start-up.

has been happily in radio for too many years to count and currently hosts her own Morning Show on Ottawa's Lite 98.5-FM.  She also has recently taken on a part time gig as a Veterinary Assistant at Alta Vista Animal Hospital.  Being that music and animals are her passions, this works well for her, radio and vet life.   Her other hobbies include photography, reading, going on long nature walks, writing (hence adding to this wonderful compilation) and art.
